Post #7 First Thoughts on House Style

What I learned today is house style which is the style of a magazine that is reapplied across multiple magazines to reestablish that the idea or company is the same. The reason some companies may do this to make the magazine more familiar with the community not complicated to the everyday consumer. How styles may have been developed by psychologist by doing tests to see which things would to better connect the human mind to the advertisement increasing sales. The genre may also change the design by using different colors to spike certain moods in people. Example of this is the color black which create sort of a power feeling maybe even green relating to money or luck. This changed the way I now look at magazines as now I observe every detail on the magazine and the reasons they are there.

 Hello and Today I will be going over progress of my feature story for my magazine Mikaili Taylor a beast on the court and off allowing him to enjoy a peaceful life. When asked what his greatest achievement was his response was "Balancing school and basketball at the same time" this also comes with no surprise as he was able to help his team in one of the games to get a 40 point lead.  Hello everyone I will be going over small tips that be in small sections in different parts of the magazines. When dribbling it's useful to look up while dribbling to scan the court for open teammates and your opponents movement. Learning to perform higher arch layups against taller defenders and be very effective. Shooting with your guide hand can make your shoot more accurate.

Hello today I will be practicing my writing on feature story leads Twist The police in this municipality received a call at 3:45 p.m. yesterday afternoon. A woman shouted at the sergeant who answered the telephone. She said: "My son's been beaten. His teacher whipped him this afternoon, and he's all red where she paddled him. Can teachers do that? That's assault and battery, and I want her arrested." Two police officers were sent to the home. They questioned the boy, who is 9 years old. At his mother's insistence, the police officers also inspected the boy's reported injuries. They reported: "We couldn't tell that the boy had been paddled. His fanny didn't look red to us, but we did notice that his pants legs were wet and muddy. As we talked, it became obvious that he boy was lying.
