 I posted an image that covers both pages. The text also is on each side of the page to show separation of the page. The picture goes along with the sport theme.

 

 The table of contents was a simple design that label the stories that was feature in the magazine. Each story followed by a page number and a the title on top on the table of contents page

 

 My magazine was about sports in general with the main image of a rim. This is to show the main story which is the exclusive interview with Shaq. This coverline was bigger than any other coverline with the page number showing. The red banner at the top made it pop out with the title house of hoops which brings interest to sports players like me. The red banner was placed there to make it feel like a more genuine magazine while giving it a more pleasing look. The date at the bottom displays the date that the magazine was created. 

 

 

  What I learned today is house style which is the style of a magazine that is reapplied across multiple magazines to reestablish that the idea or company is the same. The reason some companies may do this to make the magazine more familiar with the community not complicated to the everyday consumer. How styles may have been developed by psychologist by doing tests to see which things would to better connect the human mind to the advertisement increasing sales. The genre may also change the design by using different colors to spike certain moods in people. Example of this is the color black which create sort of a power feeling maybe even green relating to money or luck. This changed the way I now look at magazines as now I observe every detail on the magazine and the reasons they are there.
